United Kingdom is the island of Great Britain that includes the countries like England, Scotland and Wales. United Kingdom also represents the Northern Ireland. This is another Ireland which is about 12 miles from the island of Great Britain. The total current population is about 55,977,178 and the total area is about 241930 square km. English is mostly spoken out in whole U.K but it not official native dialect as well as other dictions like Welsh in Wales and Gaelic and scots in Scotland.
The mountainous area of the United Kingdom are the Wales and Scotland. As the Ice Age glaciers melted in Scotland, the glaciers left behind 1000 of lakes called as Lochs. These Lochs are very long, narrow and deep. It is well known that Nessie, huge monster lives in Loch Ness also known as Scottish Highlands.
United Kingdom is a Constitutional monarchy, where Head of the state is considered to be the Queen or King. The council of the religious advisors have been extended into government known as Parliament. So the government in United Kingdom is known as the Parliamentary Democracy.
United Kingdom has two houses; the House of Commons consists of officials assigned by the people and the House of Lords, where the members are selected by the Queen or the King by the consent of independent group called as the House of Lords Appointments Commission.
The head of the government is called the Prime minister, who is the leader of the political party in responsibility of Parliament.

United Kingdom is well known all over the world for its literature and games. The games or sports like soccer, cricket, boxing, golf and rugby are all the creations of U.K. Famous writers like William Shakespeare known as “The Nature of Poet”, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen. The writer of the “Lord of Rings series” is the J.R.R. Tolkien and the writer of the “Harry Porter series” is the J.K. Rowling. These both writers belong from U.K.
United Kingdom has very fruitful wildlife species include smaller mammals like hedgehogs, hares and badgers. Roe deer and red deer are the largest mammals set up in the U.K.
The Scottish Highlands are considered to be the home-grown of many animals like Scottish wild cat, pine martens and golden eagles.
In Northern Ireland, Lough Neagh is the shelter of waterfowl like, swans, gills, geese, ducks and swans. There are numerous seabirds like puffins and skaus.
