McGregor attended Gaelscoil and Gaelcholáiste at both primary and secondary levels in Tallaght, where he also developed a passion for Gaelic football. At the age of 12, he began boxing at Crumlin Boxing Club to protect himself from bullies and to boost his confidence.

Early Career:

McGregor’s interest in martial arts grew, and he began training in kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. At 18, he made his amateur MMA debut, winning by TKO.
